Special room rates have been secured in the hotels listed below for participants of the ISMIR 2004 Conference:

• Campus del Mar University Hall

  Located in the district of La Barceloneta, just 5 minutes from the beach, a 15-minute walk from the UPF Campus of Ciutadella (ISMIR Conference, 11-14 October), and a 5-minute walk from the UPF França Campus (ISMIR Tutorials, 10 October). All rooms include a fitted kitchen, complete bathroom, heating, telephone and internet access. Metro line 4 Barceloneta. Bus 39 and 14.

• La Ciutadella University Hall

  Situated at a 5-minute walk from the UPF Campus of Ciutadella (ISMIR Conference, 11-14 October) and at a 15-minute walk from the UPF França Campus (ISMIR Tutorials, 10 October). All rooms include a fitted kitchen, complete bathroom, heating, telephone and internet access. Metro line 4 Ciutadella. Bus 39 and 41.

  This new and modern 4-star hotel is situated by the sea. It features comfortable rooms with internet access and a wide variety of services such as a gym fitness centre with sauna, spa, and Jacuzzi. It is good value for money and ideal for those who prefer a peaceful area and wish to enjoy the sea views from a high quality hotel at a special congress rate. It is not in the city centre but is connected to the ISMIR congress venue by bus and metro.

Hotel Rates

The special room rates for participants of the ISMIR 2004 Conference will also be applied for any pre or post conference extension of stay. All rates quoted are per room and night and include 7% V.A.T and a service charge. In the Barceló Hotel Atenea Mar option a buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.

Room reservation

Hotel booking requests will be processed as soon as the Hotel Reservation Form and the required deposit have reached Events & Congresses Bureau. Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis as received by Events & Congresses Bureau and according to room availability. Should the preferred hotel be fully booked, the best alternative solutions will be offered.

Forms received after September 1st will be accepted but hotel accom-modation cannot be guaranteed.

Hotel deposits

Hotel reservation will not be confirmed if a one-night deposit has not been paid to Events & Congresses Bureau. The hotel deposit will be deducted from the final hotel bill, which delegates must settle with the hotel on checkout. The deposit is necessary in order to guarantee your reservation.

Please bear in mind that for the University Halls , the total cost of the stay must be paid in full upon making a reservation.

Confirmations will be sent after receipt of deposit/total payment.

Please include your credit card details regardless of the chosen method of payment as it is a hotel requirement.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations of bookings must be notified in writing to Events & Congresses Bureau. Refunds will be made as follows:
